Printing Account Manager
Shawn has been working in the printing industry for more than 14 years. He has specialized in the reprographic industry selling large format printing and supplies to architects, engineers and contractors. Prior to joining Hackworth in 2009, Shawn worked as a Sales Representative for A&E Reprographics in Newport News, VA. As an Account Manager for Hackworth, Shawn serves Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and the Peninsula areas with the full compliment of Hackworth’s printing services and is the company’s large format black and white printing expert. In addition, he handles large format printing supplies such as ink, toner and paper throughout Hampton Roads.
Shawn is a lifelong Hampton Roads native. He grew up in Poquoson, VA. In his free time, Shawn enjoys playing golf, softball and basketball.
Joe Ussery – 757.646.5612
Printing Account Manager
Joe received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Journalism from Old Dominion University. He also completed training in the Kodak Industrial Photographic School. Joe served in the United States Navy in SONAR and the United States Army as part of the Parachute Infantry. While in the Armed Services he completed the JFK Special Warfare School. He was a Special Forces Soldier and a Drill Instructor. After his service to the country, Joe began working in the wide format printing industry for Empire Machinery & Supply, Engineering Media, Pro-Blue and now Hackworth. He is a CADD instructor for Pro-Draft and AutoCAD. Joe serves as the printing account representative for Virginia Beach and Chesapeake and is also the legacy archive scanning specialist for Hackworth.
Outside of work, Joe volunteers for the Chesapeake Fire Department as a cardiac EMT. For fun he collects model trains and enjoys photography and travel, especially cruising.
Christie Williams – 757.545.7675
Creative Director
Christie graduated with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design specializing in Computer Graphics from the Virginia Arts Center of Portsmouth, VA. She began here career at Hackworth in 2005 as a Graphic Designer. In 2010, she was promoted to Creative Director for the Color Department. Christie oversees the prepress stage, including all incoming jobs, price quotes, graphic design, and site inspections; assists sales reps with incoming print projects, such as pricing and other information and is responsible for setting up jobs so they are ready for print. Prior to Hackworth, she was a Graphic Designer at Admiral Signworks of Virginia Beach (formerly B & B Signs & Graphics).
Christie is a mother of two: Anthony, 4 years old and Adriana, 7 months old. She enjoys spending time with her children when she’s not at work.
Blythe Erikson – 757.545.7675
Graphic Designer
Blythe holds an Associate’s Degree in Graphic and Web Design from ECPI. She came on board with Hackworth November 2009 in Hackworth’s Production Department and was later promoted to her current Graphic Designer position. Blythe is a self-taught artist, as well. Prior to joining Hackworth, she worked at various printing companies as a production specialist. As a Graphic Designer she creates and designs anything from business cards to banners.
Blythe moved to Virginia with her family while in high school when her father was assigned to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier. She is the youngest of three siblings in her family and she loves to draw. She especially enjoys creating comics.
Krissy Kotvas – 757.545.7675
Graphic Designer
Krissy served in the United States Marine Corps. After her service she received an Associate’s Degree in Visual Communication from John Tyler Community College. While there she received a scholarship to attend the New Millennium Film School where she interned for actress Daphne Maxwell Reid. She also interned as a Graphic Designer with the advertising firm Seventh Point. Since joining Hackworth in June 2010 she works as a Graphic Designer and Large Format Print Operator. Her task include collaboration with the customer on jobs, designing and installing the finished product.
Krissy enjoys concerts, movies, Great Danes, the beach, snowboarding, longboarding and collecting shoes. When she is not doing all of that she loves playing music whether it be piano, guitar, drums or violin. She also hopes to the learn bagpipes.
